The title of this entry might sound familiar to some people...
I was thinking about what I wanted to write for this week, especially since I will be going out of town this weekend. Did I want to do an evening stay in on a horror film where they travel (such as Turistas)? Maybe... or should I do an entry on several horror films in general in connection to traveling? But then the idea came to me...JOY RIDE! The 15th anniversary of this film was just celebrated the other day. It just seemed perfect to do. My dad is the one who introduced me to movies and is why I am such a huge movie lover. He showed me this film when I was younger, and I loved it! I actually used to watch it in the car every time we took a long road trip. We also liked to watch the commentary of this film, which I highly suggest watching, especially if you're a fan of Steve Zahn. And now, for you're (short) feature presentation....
Joy Ride was released on October 5th, 2001.
Directed by John Dahl and written by J.J. Abrams and Clay Tarver. Main Cast: Steve Zahn, Paul Walker, and Leelee Sobieski. Interestingly, Ted Levine is the voice of, Rusty Nail, while Matthew Kimbrough is the one who physically plays him.
That's it for today's post. If you're about to take a road trip, I suggest watching this! But then again, I suggest watching it any other time.
Safe travels!
